Legion College Courses

Basic Course

This course will lead you through sections of the 2025 Officers Guide and Manual of Ceremonies as well as give you an overview of our programs and philosophies.


  • September 6-7      9am to noon
  • September 17-18  6pm to 9pm

Take a deeper dive into the 2025 Officers Guide and Manual of Ceremonies.  Learn about how to run your post and the importance of Constitution and Bylaws.

National Legion College Information

The American Legion's official training program for officers, members, Legion College applicants and those who simply want to expand their knowledge of the nation's largest veterans service organization is now available online.


Already taken the old course? The American Legion Extension Institute has been rewritten, updated, streamlined and enhanced with videos, digital photos, clickable links, a historical timeline and additional features. The program should take less than two hours to complete. It is divided into six sections, with a quiz at the end of each one, followed by a final exam.

2025 Department Fall Conferences

Department Fall Conferences will be held on October 10th and 11th with Committee meetings on the 10th and the DEC wrap up on October 11th.  Committee meetings are open to anyone wanting to attend.
