Shooting Sports Eligibility
Eligibility
- The recipient must be a high school graduate of a Wisconsin high school
- The recipient must have participated in the current American Legion Regional or State Championship, Junior Position Air Rifle Tournament
- Make known his/her intentions to attend an accredited college or vocational school. The recipient background, experience, and aptitude must be applicable and compatible with the type of education the applicant is seeking
- Recipient must show proof of completion of the first semester before payment of scholarship will be made. Payment will be made by the Department of Wisconsin, the American Legion, 2930 American Legion Drive, P.O. Box 388, Portage, WI 53901-0388
- Race, creed, national origin, color and sex shall not be considered in making the selection of the recipient
- First consideration will be given to the top scorer from Wisconsin who had competed in the State/Regional Championship and declared Wisconsin State Championship
- The recipient must make application for this scholarship by a date set by the Shooting Sports Program Chairman
