| Adjutant's Notes for January 7, 2010 |
Printer friendly version The Adjutant's Notes is your bi-weekly source for vital information to assist in the operations of The Wisconsin American Legion. |
| Red Arrow Run |
The Wisconsin American Legion is hard at work preparing for the return of the members of the 32nd Infantry of the Wisconsin National Guard. We will have many volunteers on site at Fort McCoy this weekend and through the end of the month as they demobilize. Many groups have made donations to support our efforts. Oscar Meyer donated 500 pounds of hot dogs and Pete Pappageorge of Century Services donated 63 pounds of Honor Grounds Coffee to be served to the soldiers as they demobilize. Pappageorge is a member of SAL Squadron 120.
Sergeant-At-Arms Michael Zapka and Director of Internal Affairs Chad Zuleger loaded the products into the Adjutant's van this morning to run them up to Fort McCoy through a driving snowstorm.
Service Officer James Fialkowski will also be on site to assist soldiers with claims and other related issues.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to support this effort can do so online at http://wilegion.org/howcanyouhelp/. Designate your gift for "Troop and Family Support."
We are also looking for donations of products such as hot dog buns and paper plates. If you can help secure large quantities of these items, please contact Jessika at jessika@wilegion.org. |

At the time of the test, applicants will be able to complete their application, finish the paperwork, and take the test. They are constantly tweaking the schedule as they add more sites and dates so candidates should call to get the most up-to-date choices and test times.
